Highline College Brazil Day 2

 Today was our first full day, and we somehow managed to survive! After a long sleepless journey to Brazil, we started our day off early at 8 am.  Our first practice started out a little rough, but our team pushed through and ended on a high note.

Jumping into our next practice, we worked to maintain a high level of play. After our second practice we were famished and excited for our snack break! We were given a short break after our snack. Some players used the break to take a quick nap, some took the opportunity to explore the training facility, and Megan and Susan braved the cold water for a swim!

Throughout the day, we were lucky enough to watch the Brazilian team practice! It was inspiring to watch two of the top teams in the world practice. Not only did we watch them play, but we had the opportunity to take a picture with the women’s team! Our entire team felt like kids next to them, they were all so tall! As we were getting ready to take the picture, the team was admiring our shoes, and even offered to trade us!

Our stay in Brazil is off to a great start! We are all looking forward to improving as individuals and as a team!
